Palazzo del Papa is an ancient village located along the old route of the Via Flaminia. It is found at the end of the Valle della Somma and from here you can see the valley stretching up to the Sabine mountains. Just 9 km from Spoleto and Terni, it represents an optimal starting point from which to set off daily to visit the different Umbrian towns. Isolated in the countryside, it is easily reachable, being only 2 km away from the Nuova Flaminia junction.
The Valle della Somma immerses the farmhouse in a splendid scenario of Umbrian countryside, lush with woods. During the autumn the mountains are coloured in shades of red to give way to intense green in the spring. The nearby town of Strettura is famous for its sciapo bread and for the processing of pork. From here you can reach the Marmore Falls and the Valnerina in 5 minutes.
